EMC RecoverPoint: data protection and recovery for VMware Infrastructure
EMC RecoverPoint is a local continuous data protection (CDP) and remote replication solution that provides point-in-time recovery for VMware environments. Virtual Machines (VMs) can be automatically recovered when RecoverPoint is used with VMware Site Recovery Manager to orchestrate and streamline the data protection and failover processes. RecoverPoint is the most flexible approach to protecting virtualized data—replicating VMware file systems (VMFS) to protect and recover a single VM or an entire VMware ESX server infrastructure.

Learn about New EMC PowerPath Encryption with RSA!
EMC PowerPath provides automated load balancing and non-disruptive path management.
PowerPath Encryption with RSA is a new host-based solution for encrypting data-at-rest on disk, and helps organizations of all sizes support their enterprise security strategy, secure business continuity, and align with internal policies and external and governmental regulations. The initial release of PowerPath Encryption with RSA supports Symmetrix and CLARiiON arrays for Solaris and Windows. The product will eventually support heterogeneous storage environments. Coupled with RSA's Key Manager, PowerPath Encryption with RSA will protect information in the event it gets compromised (unauthorized users, stolen data, etc.) and to manage encrypted keys throughout their lifecycle.
Learn more about this exciting new functionality at these sessions and demonstrations, and a customer input session:
Sessions
• PowerPath: Introduction and What's New in 2008
• PowerPath Multipathing: Best Practices with EMC and Third-party Arrays
• PowerPath Migration Enabler: Providing Non-disruptive Data Migrations
• PowerPath Encryption with RSA: Delivering Host-based Encryption to Disk
Demonstration:
Don't forget to visit the pavilion to see the latest demonstration of PowerPath Encryption with RSA. This demo will show how PowerPath Encryption with RSA supports replication without any additional management steps.
Functionality highlighted in this demonstration includes:
• Ease of accessing encrypted data from an array-based replica.
• Encryption can be added to a data center environment without disrupting existing replication procedures
• Secure business continuity by preventing replicated media from being compromised
Customer Input Session
A customer input session is your chance to provide product feedback directly to engineers and product management. These sessions are by invitation only. If you would like to participate in the EMC PowerPath CIS- please contact Giuliano_Thomas@emc.com.
